20,000 Armed Migrants Ready to Enter via EU Border

 

The planned breakthrough will reportedly take place ahead of signing a proposed UN Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration pact. Several countries such as the US and Austria have already backed out of the treaty.

Some 20,000 migrants are currently preparing to break through the Bosnian-Croatian border near Velika-Kladusa, Kronen Zeitung reported, citing an anonymous department head from the Austrian Interior Ministry. The migrant crowd is purportedly made up of young men of Pakistani, Iranian, Algerian and Moroccan descent as opposed to earlier migrant “waves” from Syria. And there are almost no women in this group.

But what troubles the Interior Ministry most are the reports that many of these men are armed with knives. Media outlets have already reported one incident, involving a border officer who was attacked by a knife-wielding migrant.

The Interior Ministry is not worried about the massive migrant group coming to Austria because most of them want to reach the northern part of the EU, where states provide better conditions for refugees.

“Migrants want to [go to] Germany, to Scandinavian countries. Austria is not the best option for them right now,” the source in the ministry said.

The growing crisis at the Bosnian-Croatian border comes a month ahead of a UN conference in Morocco, where The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration will be adopted. The pact is described as a framework to maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of migration. Despite the agreement’s stated goal, a number of states, namely the US, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, have backed out of the pact, while several others are weighing this option.

In October, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz criticized some of the clauses of the proposed agreement due to substantive concerns over threats to the country’s sovereignty. Kurz is known for his hardline stance on illegal migration. Bosnian police put on alert as migrants reach Croatia border

A group of some 200 migrants has arrived at the Bosnia-Croatia border crossing in Maljevac on Monday morning where they blocked a road lane, police confirmed to N1 television.

“Some 200 migrants are already there at the Maljevac border crossing. The border hasn’t been blocked yet and the transport of goods and people is still ongoing. (…) Our border police, as well as the border police of Croatia, were informed about this. Our police officers are on the spot,” said police spokeswoman Snezana Galic.

The border crossing is located near the northwestern Bosnian town of Velika Kladusa, where hundreds of migrants gathered over the past months in an attempt to get as close to the border with the European Union as possible and to eventually cross it. Their final destinations, they say, are western European countries.

The situation is similar in Bihac, another town of this region bordering Croatia. Hundreds of residents there took to the streets over the past weekend, protesting against the increasing influx of migrants in that area, and calling on state authorities to tackle the issue. The protesters said they felt the influx of people jeopardised public safety, and raised doubts about the true origin and history of some of the migrants who arrived to their city.

There is no refugee or migrant centre in neither of the two towns, capable of temporarily hosting migrants in Bosnia. This led to migrants forming tent camps in parks and other public areas, or even occupying abandoned buildings. (FULL STORY HERE)

School bans pupils from talking in corridors with those caught being given a 20 minute detention

Pupils have been banned from talking when walking to and from lessons by a secondary school.

Those caught talking face being punished with a 20-minute detention.

The silent corridors policy is being introduced at Ninestiles School, an academy in Birmingham, when children return from half term in November…….

The letter said: ‘All student movement including to and from assembly, at lesson changeover and towards communal areas at break and lunch will be carried out in silence. Students will leave school in silence following the conclusion of their last lesson.’

Despite the talking ban, the school says pupils will be able to ‘relax and socialise’ in allocated speaking areas……

A father of one pupil said: ‘Why does the school want to teach children to be mute zombies? In workplaces people chat and speak to each other, why not at school? It’s a place of learning and exploring ideas, not a North Korean gulag or a monastery.’

Plans to bury nuclear waste under national parks backed by UK govt

UK officials could soon begin burying radioactive waste under some of the country’s national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty, according to new plans backed by the British government.

Nuclear waste is currently being stored at above-ground facilities across the UK but it is hoped that deep geological burials will provide a long-term solution to the problem of mounting leftovers. The plans were published in January but have now been bolstered by the support of MPs on the Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Select Committee. (READ MORE HERE)

​I am a retired Police Detective with over 25 years service in the investigation into child abuse. I was threatened and bullied out of my job for exposing the high-level cover-up of child prostitution. For the past eight years, I have been working with anti-child abuse campaigner Bill Maloney in raising awareness of the true extent of the scale of this heinous crime. I, now with other whistleblowing cops as well as victims and survivors of abuse, am campaigning for a change in the Law to give brave whistleblowers the protection they truly deserve. In the words of Edmund Burke: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”​

I am now planning a fundraising charity event, in which I will be cycling from London to Penzance, from there travelling to the Isles of Scilly, where I will be swimming around the outer circumference of the islands.  The funds raised will be split between two worthy charities:- 1) The Ley Community – drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, which helps victims and survivors of abuse. 2) The Swinton Lock Centre, which is an activity centre catering for underprivileged children and child victims of abuse.  This will be commencing with the help of funding, at the end of August 2018, and is estimated to take 10-12 days.​

Since I stood up and exposed the vile crimes against children (which were suppressed for decades), I faced a sustained and aggressive onslaught designed not just to silence me but to ultimately destroy me.

This attack strengthened my resolve, and I embarked on a journey where I have met brave, kind, compassionate individuals comprised of fellow whistleblowers, victims, and survivors of abuse. If whistleblowers do not receive adequate, independent, and secure protection then the horrific abuse of society’s most vulnerable and precious members will continue.

A 62-year-old Woman with no lower limbs not entitled to Disability Living Allowance

A 62-year-old Woman with no lower limbs not entitled to Disability Living Allowance because of where she lives.

 

My 62-year-old Sister lives in a Care Home in Clacton and has just had her disability living allowance canceled. She has no lower limbs (legs) and uses the money she gets to pay for a motorized wheelchair to get her about.

She goes everywhere in it and it gives her a quality of life so she can go to the shops and for days out and lead a better life.

Even making it easier for her to do the everyday things like getting out of bed and going to the toilet which would be impossible without it.

The local authority has said they are taking it back because she isn’t entitled to it under the new law because of where she lives. 

She will become bedridden without it and will lose all her dignity as she will have to be assisted everywhere and will remain stuck inside for the rest of what will be a very miserable life.

This country is a complete farce and isn’t interested in looking after their own or people who genuinely need their help ….. SHAME ON YOU!!!!
